Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao)

This is a soothing emollient that has been used for centuries as a skin ingredient.  It is known to heal and moisturize skin that has been exposed to the elements.  One well-known benefit is its ability to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks during pregnancy by keeping the skin supple.  

 

Coffee Bean (Coffea Arabica Seed Oil)

Is produced by hydrogenating the cold pressed oil from roasted coffee beans and other vegetable oils.   Coffee extract offers natural protection from ultraviolet light and is rich in phytosterols which promote excellent moisture retention, quick penetration.  It leaves an exceptionally smooth and elegant feeling on the skin. 

Cupuacu Butter (Theobroma grandiflorum)

The Cupuacu tree is found in the Amazon and most notably the northern region of Brazil.  The tree resembles the cocoa tree.  The butter itself is pressed from the seeds and possesses a soft, creamy consistency.  It is gaining attention for its ability to hydrate the skin, it’s composition of sterols and overall nutritive profile.

Macadamia Seed Butter (Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil)

This butter is known to have exceptionally good emollience and lubricity. 

Mango Butter (Mangifera Indica)

Mango butter has a creamy and velvety feel that absorbs well and leaves the skin feeling hydrated.  It is known to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, soothes dry or damaged skin lips and hair. 

Murumuru ( Astrocaryum Murumuru)

This butter is pressed for the fruits of the Astrocaryum murumuru tree.  It is a palm tree native to Brazil and other regions of the Amazon.  It is highly versatile and possesses a firm but somewhat creamy texture.  This butter melts upon contact with the skin and the aroma is similar to coconut oil.  It is composed of fatty acids and Pro-Vitamin A which is known to help restore elasticity to damaged and aging skin. 

Shea Butter (Butyrospermumparkii)

Contains Vitamins A, E and F – It is known to help with dry skin, dermatitis, eczema, dandruff, stretch marks, and psoriasis.  It is easily absorbed into the skin and has a comedogenic rating of 0 which means it will not clog pores.
